What does the Booster club do?
The purpose of the Booster Club is to support all the sports that are offered at Mansfield High School (MHS).  This is done
in several ways.   First of all as parents we are usually the strongest supporters of our children. We are the ones that attend
the games and are their biggest fans.   Secondly, the Booster Club with the assistance of the teams hold fundraisers
throughout the school year.

The Booster Club just bought Safety nets for $4200. These will be used when Lacrosse and track
are practicing. Hopefully we will have additional uses for them. We also paid $648 for a new batting
cage. We also gave $400 to purchase olympic plates for the weight room. We have also increased
our 4 scholarships to $750 each.

*This year we helped fund the cheerleaders and football team's trip to St Ed's High School in Ohio by giving $1000.00!
The school year for Boosters actually starts in the middle of the summer!  We provide the funding to keep the weight
room open all summer so student athletes can start working on their dream season early.

In the fall, the Boosters produce the All-Sports Program Book that is distributed at all the varsity football games. We
also man the ticket gates and sell 50/50 raffle tickets.

Winter is when we run the concession stand selling hot dogs, pizza,  snacks, and cold drinks at the boys and girls
basketball games.

We do a Calendar Contest in December, giving away $50-$100.00 a day in the month of January. (February this year).

Each year the Boosters purchase Hockomock league Championship jackets!

Provide funding for new sports to get off the ground

The Booster Club Awards four non-need scholarships to a male and female student athlete in the amount of $500.

This May, we will put on our 8th Annual Booster Club 5K. We have had the "lenny's loop" course certified by the United
States Track and Field Association.  The race starts and finishes at Mansfield High School, traveleling down East St.
to Branch St. to Ware St. and back down East. to Mansfield High School.
