Ryan Collins, Mansfield
DIVISION 1
Collins kept a low profile at the beginning of the season and didn't run in the first three major EMass
meets, but he sure turned it on at the end of the season. At the EMass meet, he ran the fastest time of
the day (15:36). A week later at the All-State meet, he again ran the fastest time of the day (15:49), which
set a course record for the Northfield Mountain course. Collins completed a triple-crown effort this
season with an individual Hockomock League meet championship. He was the only boy from EMass to
qualify for the Foot Locker National Cross-Country championship in San Diego. Collins is an honors
student and enjoys snowboarding
